#First 86 EIGHTY-SIX Second Cour Trailer Released

The 86 EIGHTY-SIX anime has released the first trailer for its upcoming second cour, which previews a more stern and determined Lena. The second cour (the term “season” is used within the trailer) is due to begin in October.

86 EIGHTY-SIX’s staff includes Toshimasa Ishī (storyboarder on Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld) as director, Toshiya Ōno (The Promised Neverland, Land of the Lustrous) as series composer, and Tetsuya Kawakami (Interviews With Monster Girls, The Asterisk War) as character designer. 

Other staff members include Masanobu Nomura (BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yumi Horikoshi (Fafner the BEYOND Ep 6,7,8) as art directors, Nagisa Abe (Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare) as color designer, Masaharu Okazaki (Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare) as photography director, Hiroyuki Yoshida (22/7) as CG director, and Hiiroyuki Sawano and KOHTA YAMAMOTO as music composers. A-1 Pictures is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Shōya Chiba as Shinei Nōzen, Ikumi Hasegawa as Vladilena Mirizaré, Seiichirō Yamashita as Raiden Shuga, Natsumi Fujiwara as Theoto Rikka, Saori Hayami as Anju Emma, Sayumi Suzushiro as Kurena Kukumila, Riho Sugiyama as Henrietta Penrose, Satoshi Mikami as Jerome Karlstahl, and Taiten Kusonoki as Lev Aldrecht. 

The second cour’s trailer description also lists Haruka Shiraishi as Kaie Tanya, Haruki Ishiya as Daiya Irma, Daiki Yamashita as Haruto Keats, Taishi Murata as Kujou Niko, Shinei Ueki as Rui Kino, Masamu Ono as Chise Ōsen, Katsumi Fukuhara as Tōma Sōbi, Taito Ban as Tōzan Sasha, Shizuka Ishigami as Rekka Rin, Yuka Nukui as Mikuri Kairō, and Kazama Mayuko as Maina Yatomika.

86 EIGHTY-SIX is based on the light novel series by Asato Asato. The first cour ran from April to June.

Called “Juggernaut,” these are the unmanned combat drones developed by the Republic of San Magnolia in answer to the attacks by the autonomous unmanned drones of the neighboring Empire of Giad, the “Legion”.
