Following the first part Date A Bullet: Dead or Bullet in August, the second part Date A Bullet: Nightmare or Queen is set to be released in Japan on November 13, 2020. The two-part film project's official website has started streaming a 60-second full trailer for the highly-anticipated final part.

The Jun Nakagawa (High School Fleet: The Movie)-directed two-part anime film is based on Yuichiro Higashide's Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet novel series featuring Kurumi Tokisaki, which has been written as a spin-off to Koshi Tachibana's Date A Live romantic comedy sci-fi light novel series. The anime film's first part was released in seven theaters in Japan on August 14.

The second part again features the same instrumental OP theme "Infermata" composed/arranged by Go Sakabe, who has been working on the Date A Live anime franchise since its first TV anime in 2013. Meanwhile, the new ED theme song "Precious" is sung by RinamooN, an extended unit project featuring a singer Rina Tsukishiro as "Rina." "Precious" is the unit's debut song and the press release describe it as "a song featuring a somewhat fragile voice in a fantastic music."

Also, it is announced that the film's first-week theatergoers will receive a newly-written novel book by Yuichiro Higashide, then the the second-week theatergoers will randomly get one of the two-type mini colored papers drawn by the anime character designer Naoto Nakamura.
