#Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Manga’s Total Print Run Reaches 150 Million Copies

 

 

It is confirmed today on February 15 that a total print run (including digital) of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga (including digital) has reached the accomplishment of 150 million copies. The first printing of its final 23rd volume released in December 2020 was 3.95 million copies and the total circulation at that point was 120 million copies, which means another 30 million copies have been added only in two months.

 

As the author’s first serialization work, the dark fantasy manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. When its first TV anime adaptation strarted airing in Japan in April 2019, its total circulation was reported as 3.5 million copies with 11 volumes. Since then, the sales jumped up 43 times in one year and ten months. 

 

With the continuous huge box office success of the feature film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train and the forthcoming second season of the TV anime announced yesterday, the manga’s sales is expected to increase even more in the future.
