SYNOPSIS:

Chris makes a life altering choice that comes back to not only haunt him, but seek

REVIEW:

More short films, kiddies! Today we have ETARTSAC, written and directed (and I believe also starring) Chris Magennis.

So this was a strange one, and I’m not sure where to start. The story starts with our hero driving out to some sort of forbidden construction area to bury a cat. Ok, so that’s pretty straight forward. Its what happens next that goes off the rails.

Upon returning home from this macabre mission, everything gets very strange for our hero. Bits of information about what has happened and why start to trickle in from various sources, including a phone call. But overall, its a very surreal adventure that likely takes a few viewings to really sort it out.

It was a fun watch, even if I wasn’t sure I really understood what was going on. The actor is very good in carrying the tale, as they are the only on-camera presence. There is a feeling of isolation, of defeat, and of fear that is clearly portrayed.

Defintely worth a watch.
