#Film industry health firm to set up COVID vaccine sites

A company that specializes in keeping COVID-19 away from film sets is gearing up to vaccinate Americans against the deadly bug.

VIP StarNetwork, a health-care services firm that’s helped Netflix and Amazon Studios with coronavirus safety protocols, plans to inoculate 2,000 to 8,000 people a day at vaccine clinics in three different states.

The company tells The Post it’s in talks to set up shop in New York, Georgia and its home state of New Mexico after getting the green light from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which approved it as a “mass immunization” provider last month.

“With our strong platform of health care providers, we can begin deployment of massive vaccine clinics in the geographic areas we serve, while simultaneously supporting the most underserved communities,” said VIP StarNetwork CEO Johonniuss Chemweno.

VIP StarNetwork says it will set up the facilities in churches with the goal of distributing shots to groups hit hardest by the pandemic in line with state and federal vaccination plans.

The company expects to get started by the end of March in New York, where more than 3 million people have received at least one vaccine dose so far, state data show.

VIP StarNetwork says it may also target people in the film and entertainment industry, its primary clientele. The firm conducts coronavirus testing on movie and TV sets and hires out staffers to serve as COVID-19 compliance officers monitoring production safety measures.
