#Fauci’s arrogance, Twitter’s double standard and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions:

This quote:

“Attacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, Wednesday

We say: By now, only Martians can be unfamiliar with Fauci’s arrogance — not to mention his deceptions, manipulations and, well, lies. From the effectiveness of masks to the coronavirus lab-leak theory, Fauci has been on every side of the issue, claiming the “science” backs him up each time. Please.

We say: Still doubt Twitter has double standards? When The Post ran legally obtained e-mails from Hunter Biden’s laptop, which had become the property of a repair-shop owner after no one picked it up, Twitter blocked users from sharing the story, falsely claiming it contained “hacked” materials and also “personal and private information . . . which violate our rules.” Yet when left-leaning ProPublica promotes an almost-certainly illegally leaked trove of personal tax info linked to rich private citizens on Twitter, the platform’s fine with that.

Spot the difference:

We say: Left-wing media outlets like NPR simply have no shame about running fake news. Even when forced to correct their glaring misreporting, they make no apologies.

This quote:

“I saw . . . dozens and dozens of pickup trucks with explicatives [sic] against Joe Biden on the back of them, Trump flags and in some cases just dozens of American flags, which is also just disturbing. . . . Essentially the message was clear: This is my country. This is not your country. I own this.”

The New York Times’ Mara Gay, Tuesday on MSNBC

We say: Talk about a chip on your shoulder! How do anti-Biden bumper stickers, pro-Trump banners and American flags suggest “tens of millions of Trump voters” resent “having to share the democracy with others,” as Gay further claimed? Do people who display anti-Trump or pro-Biden messages similarly dislike “sharing the democracy”?
