#Fate/Grand Order Paladin Agateram Takes Over COCO’s in Japan

Japanese family restaurant COCO’s is currently holding a collaboration event for the second installment of the two-parter Fate/Grand Order The Movie -Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot, Paladin Agateram. The campaign debuted on May 13, 2021 and will run until June 23, 2021.

Select COCO’s restaurants throughout Japan have life-size cutouts of characters from the movie on display. The restaurant I visited had a Nitocris cutout.

There are also Fate/Grand Order-themed A4-size clear files that are given out for ordering from the collaboration set menu, with the files on offer rotating every two weeks. Customers have the chance of getting a special version of a clear file that features an original illustration.

The collaboration set menu has a wide range of dishes to try and also offers character-inspired “recommended” options. Ritsuka Fujimaru’s recommendation, the Yama no Tami Omotenashi salad (979 yen/$8.93 USD), consists of soft boiled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, and Caribbean flavor chicken. This dish is inspired by the mountain trees.

Aka no Saber’s (Saber of Red) recommendation was a hamburger steak wrapped in melted cheddar cheese (869 yen/$7.94 USD) with a side of broccoli and corn. It offers a choice between garlic steak, demi-glace, or tomato for the sauce topping. A cooking stone is included if you want to cook your meat more.

Ozymandias’ recommendation is The Shining Great Temple Complex curry-wrapped hamburger steak (1529 yen/$13.98 USD). It comes in a yellow-gold foil outer packaging that you slice open to reveal the insides. A plate of pyramid-shaped flavored rice is also included with this dish.

Mash Kyrielight’s recommendation is the wrapped Madeira beef stew with hamburger steak (1089 yen/$9.96 USD) that comes with a side of a baked potato.

Bedivere’s recommendation is the Pure White King Lion Roll Cake (869 yen /$7.94 USD) that is inspired by the character’s personality. It consists of a soft roll cake filled with cream and frozen fruit, topped with fresh cream, white chocolate, topped with a mint leaf, and a scoop of ice cream on the side. The character states on the menu that you must pledge allegiance to be able to eat it.

The cafe also offers an A+B set for 680 yen/$6.22 USD, with customers being able to choose 1 dish from set A and 1 from set B. I chose Lancelot’s recommendation from Set A and Romani Archaman’s recommendation from Set B.

Lancelot’s recommendation is a sweet triple chocolate crepe that is part of the set A+B set. It’s a chocolate brownie coated in cream and wrapped in a soft crepe, topped with cream and a mint leaf, and a scoop of chocolate ice cream on the side with the whole dish drizzled with chocolate sauce and choco pops.

Meanwhile, Romani Archaman’s recommendation is a coffee jelly in a dessert cup topped with cream, a scoop of ice cream, and a mint leaf.

Customers who eat at COCO’s restaurants for the collaboration will be able to use their receipts to enter an online lottery prize drawing. The prizes are A3-sized posters featuring the original Fate/Grand Order x COCO’s illustration, which are limited to 50 people.

If you’re able to accumulate 25 points (via dish orders) you can turn them in for an original can featuring various characters in their COCO’s uniform. It’s scheduled to be delivered after the middle of September.

Select COCO’s restaurants throughout Japan are also offering some merchandise for sale in the form of gacha acrylic figures for 880 yen ($8.03 USD) each.

The restaurant I visited also featured a flag outside and wall posters of the event’s illustration inside.

Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I got lucky with the clear files and got one of the original illustrations. Aside from offering food and items, the restaurant randomly played character voice lines through speakers.
