Genshin Impact 2.1 got a new character, Raiden Shogun, on September 1 after a beta test trial. Some fans claim that miHoYo has tweaked the character and that Raiden is different from the beta version. Though most of the reactions are positive. Some reported that developers misdirected players assuming Raiden to work well with an existing playable character.

The beta test event is where the players can try out the upcoming content of games. Testers are expected to sign non-disclosure agreements preventing discussion of the content within the tests. However, leaks are inevitable to occur.

As reported by the players, Raiden has electric abilities during the beta test. Understanding and compatibility between different characters are important in Genshin Impact. Operating two or more characters of the same element will grant special bonuses. While integrating elemental abilities can result in powerful effects.

During the beta test, Raiden Shogun have electric abilities that made her pair well with Beidou. Some players spend actual money to gamble for Raiden after the initial synergy rumor.
