Momotaro Dentetsu beats Hyrule Warriors as top-selling new software.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of November 16, 2020 to November 22, 2020.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! for Switch was the highest selling new release of the week, opening at 345,697 retail copies sold. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for Switch followed at 173,215 copies sold.

On the hardware side, the launch of a new Momotaro Dentetsu game and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity boosted the Switch family’s regularly high sales even higher to 179,143 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series hardware, which continue to face stock shortages in Japan, moved a respective 42,891 and 3,684 additional units in their second week.
