# Famitsu Sales: 1/25/21 – 1/31/21

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of January 25, 2021 to January 31, 2021.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny was the highest selling new release of the week, opening at 23,551 copies on Switch and 15,761 copies on PlayStation 4 for a total of 39,312 opening retail sales. To compare, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance opened at 22,725 sales on PlayStation 4 in April 2015.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! remained the best-selling game for the eleventh consecutive week with an additional 73,362 units moved.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 114,170 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 25,948 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 3,603 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 1,099 units. Next-generation consoles continue to face stock issues.
