Following an incident last month that saw The Flash actor Ezra Miller arrested, the couple involved has dropped a restraining order on the star.

It has been a rough couple of weeks for actor Ezra Miller, who has found themself in the public eye for all the wrong reasons since being arrested for causing a disturbance in a Hawaiian bar at the end of last month. While their future as part of Warner Bros. DCEU is unclear and could hinge on a number of things, it looks like one of Miller’s troubles has been resolved as the restraining order taken out against them by a Hawaiian couple has been dropped. As reported by Valdosta Daily Times, the couple who took out the injunction against The Flash star have now requested the case be dismissed from court.

Although this is one shaft of light for the beleaguered star, there is still the court case relating to their arrest to come later this month. That hearing takes place on April 26, and it is likely the outcome of that will decide what happens to a number of upcoming projects that have been put on temporary hold since Miller’s arrest on March 27. Miller was originally charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after an outburst in a bar that saw his screaming at other patrons and “getting agitated.” Since being released on bail, when the restraining order was first put in place, there has been no word on what reason Miller has given for their actions, and how the hearing will end is pretty uncertain.

Ezra Miller’s DCEU Future Is Not Clear, and Warner Bros. is Holding Its Cards Close To Its Chest.

Although initial reports suggested that Miller’s arrest was the last straw for Warner Bros. who have stuck by the actor following out dubious outbursts and media stories, the studio rebuked claims that they had called an emergency meeting to discuss Miller’s future in the DCEU, which includes his upcoming solo movie of The Flash that is set to arrive in cinemas next year. Following reports that bosses were imminently deciding the actor’s fate, Warner Bros. sources called those reports “exaggerated” and refused to comment further on the situation.

The recent issues with Miller’s behavior have caused a prequel comic based on The Flash to be pushed back to later in the year, and while his solo movie is already in the can and ready to be released in June 2023 it is possible that Miller’s future beyond that as the DCEU’s Barry Allen could look bleak unless something changes about his escalating personal problems.

The latest scandals follow other issues faced back the star previously, when a video shared online showed them putting their hands around a young woman’s neck after being asked jokingly if they wanted a fight in a bar in Reykjavik in 2020. At the time it was reported that the actor had been involved in other altercations, but neither Miller nor his agent ever commented on the incident and no charges were brought. With his latest misdemeanor now heading to court, it could be a whole different ball game this time around depending on the outcome of the hearing in a couple of weeks’ time.
