“#It’s Tea.Gray-man Time! Enjoy D.Gray-man-Inspired Tea Blends”
Ginza’s Gin-Iro-Neko Tea Salon has special lines of teas for anime fans, inspired by their favorite characters. After rolling out a hot line of Promare teas, they’re moving on to a new inspiration: the world of D.Gray-man.
Your favorite exorcists have inspired a variety of teas, with at least one to fit every taste. Allen Walker gets a dignified but playful Darjeeling, with sweet-and-sour pineapple notes, spicy coriander, and a hint of sweet cotton candy:
Lenalee Lee gets a vibrant fruity jasmine tea with rose, peony, and amaretto cherry flavors on top:
Yu Kanda gets a traditional lotus jasmine with sharp notes of juniper berry:
And Lavi inspires a naturally caffeine-free blend of red and green rooibos with warm flavors of cacao, cinnamon, and orange:
Sadly, there’s no “Millennium Earl Grey” blend.
Each tea will be sold in both a 7-bag box for 1,944 yen (about $18) and a 5-bag packet for 1,350 yen (about $12). The teas go on sale May 13, and will be available both through the Gin-Iro-Neko website and through participating Animate shops.
