#Ex-Giant Corey Coleman suspended six games for violating NFL’s PED policy

Former Giants receiver Corey Coleman was suspended Tuesday for the first six games of the 2021 season for violating the NFL’s PED policy, according to NFL Network.

The former Baylor star, who was a first-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft, was a Giant for three seasons but was unable to live up to expectations.

The free agent receiver, who joined the Giants in 2018 under coach Pat Shurmur, missed the 2019 season after suffering a torn ACL on the first day of training camp and spending the year on injured reserve.

The Giants and Joe Judge signed the 26-year-old wideout to a one-year in 2020, but released him in September. The team re-signed him to the practice squad in October, but he never made it back onto the field for gameday.

Coleman also played for the Bills for a month and the Patriots for just six days before joining Big Blue. He has 61 receptions for 789 yards and five touchdowns in his career, but just five of those catches were with the Giants in 2018.

Coleman caught 173 passes for 3,009 yards and 33 touchdowns at Baylor. His most productive season was as a rookie in Cleveland in which he had 33 receptions for 413 yards and three touchdowns.
