A former fundraiser for Mayor Bill de Blasio who was convicted of bribing cops with access to hookers has been released from prison more than two years early on a medical furlough, The Post has learned.

Jeremy Reichberg, 46, was cut loose from the upstate Otisville Federal Correctional Institution on Thursday, sources said.

Reichberg, a Hasidic Jew, arrived at his home in Borough Park, Brooklyn, in time for Friday night’s celebration of the Jewish New Year, sources said.

The US Bureau of Prisons granted his release due to a host of medical ailments, sources said.

Reichberg tested positive for COVID-19 while locked up in Otisville but recovered after treatment, sources said.

“He was very sick,” one source said.

“He thought they were trying to kill him.”

In June, Reichberg hired a new lawyer who sought permission to file a motion for “compassionate release” under seal on grounds that it would reference unspecified medical records and information from his confidential, presentence investigation report by the US Probation Department, court records show.

But the motion was never filed after Manhattan federal Judge Gregory Woods denied the request, citing the “presumption of public access to judicial documents.”

Reichberg was convicted in January 2019 of conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, bribery and related crimes in a massive gifts-for-favors corruption scheme involving former pal and fellow de Blasio donor Jona Rechnitz and several high-ranking NYPD officials.

Two of the cops — ex-NYPD Chief of Department Philip Bank and former NYPD inspector-turned Floral Park Police Commissioner Stephen McAllister — were named as unindicted co-conspirators, while a third, former NYPD Deputy Chief Michael Harrington, struck a no-jail plea bargain.

A fourth, former Deputy Inspector James Grant, stood trial as Reichberg’s co-defendant but was acquitted of all charges.

Evidence in the case included testimony from Rechnitz, who cut a cooperation deal with prosecutors following his arrest, and from former prostitute Gabi Grecko, who said Rechnitz hired her to service “anyone who asked” during a 2013 junket to Las Vegas.

Grecko testified that she engaged in “sexual activity” with Grant, with whom she shared a room at the MGM Grand hotel, and also had “sexual contact” with Rechnitz and Reichberg while traveling on a chartered jet.

Reichberg was sentenced to four years in prison and isn’t scheduled for release from custody until January 2023, according to the BOP website.

He’s appealing his conviction on grounds that he should have been able to call de Blasio as a witness after Rechnitz testified that he and Reichberg showered the mayor with political donations in exchange for access to City Hall.

Oral arguments in that case are set for Monday before the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Neither the lawyer who Reichberg hired to seek his release, Casey Donnelly, nor the BOP immediately returned emails seeking comment.
