#Kid Cudi Hospitalized With Broken Foot After Nasty Coachella Fall

Indio, CA – Kid Cudi‘s Coachella set ended early and in injury as the rapper broke his foot during the performance.

While performing at the Indio, California festival on Sunday (April 21), the Cleveland native decided to jump off the stage — presumably to mingle with fans — but botched his landing.

A video of the moment shows Cudi making his way to the edge of the stage and almost losing his balance, before taking the 6-foot-plus dive and crash landing on the ground.

The “Day ‘N’ Nite” hitmaker then lays on the ground in pain for several moments as security come to his aid. He was unable to continue performing and forced to cut his set short.

After the curtailed performance, Cudi revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he was taken to hospital with a broken foot, although he appeared to be in good spirits.

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,” he wrote. “Just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy.

“I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

Kid Cudi was a late addition to the second and final weekend of Coachella and only announced he would be performing at the festival five days before. He was drafted in to replace Canadian singer AP Dhillon.

“INSANO BOY IS COMIN,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a poster and a timetable, showing a roughly 40-minute set starting at 5:10 p.m. PST on the Sahara stage.

Prior to breaking his foot, the 40-year-old performed fan-favorite tracks like “Tequila Shots,” “Up Up & Away” and “Memories” with David Guetta, as well as material from his latest albums INSANO and INSANO (NITRO MEGA).

Cudi will be hoping to make a quick recovery as he is set to return to the stage in just two months’ time for his INSANO World Tour.

Featuring support from Pusha T, Jaden Smith and EarthGang, the North American leg kicks off on June 28 in Austin, Texas and wraps up on August 30 in Los Angeles.

After a six-month break, Cudi and co. will then head overseas for the European leg, which runs from February 25 to March 18, 2025.
