#Egumi Legacy Premieres in July 2024, Reveals Full Voice Cast

Happinet has announced that TAKALAKA and Takuya Eguchi‘s Egumi Legacy card game anime series will premiere in Japan sometime in July 2024. Additionally, the company also revealed the show’s full voice cast and more production staff.

The main voice cast for the anime includes: 

  • • Takuya Eguchi as Legendary Final Climax Bomb
  • • Yoshino Aoyama as End of the World
  • • Soma Saito as Ukkari Hacibee
  • • Yu Serizawa as Golden Retriever
  • • Kotaro Nishiyama as Uninvited Guest 
  • • Shinichiro Kamio as Wizard
  • • Wataru Komada as Cursed Guitar Case
  • • Wataru Hatano as God Eye
  • • Daiki Kobayashi as Invincible Stalker/Perm Stripe
  • • Yoshiki Nakajima as Mohican Dot

Masa Mori (Obey Me! screenwriter) is directing the anime and is co-writing the script with Katsuya Kitano. Studio Outrigger is planning the project and handling the animation production, with 81 Produce providing production cooperation. 

Other staff includes Sara Matsumoto as art director and color designer, Naoki Yamashita (Cutie Honey Universe 3DCG Designer) as photography director, Kaisei Kishi as 3DCG director, and Ryo Tanaka (A Galaxy Next Door) as sound director.  

Egumi Legacy features original characters designed and created by Eguchi. It is based on the 2022 card game developed by him and TAKALAKA as the 10th project under the EGUMI brand, which has also inspired various clothing and other merchandise.

The anime is set on an isolated floating island in the ocean called Egu Island, where a songstress named End of the World entertains her followers. The inhabitants spend their days entranced by her singing, but have their lives disrupted when the songstress suddenly disappears. As a result, a great war breaks out on the island and conflict ensues over the fate of the island itself.
