About a month ago we reported that Netflix had secured the rights to the “Edens Zero” anime. It was only mentioned that the series should come on the platform this year. However, the starting period has now been specified in more detail.

So posted the official twitter account of the anime that «Edens Zero» in autumn 2021 for areas outside of Japan published on Netflix. Thus, a possible simulcast in this country was implicitly canceled because the series in Japan since yesterday on TV is broadcast.

The anime adaptation is created in the studio J.C.Staff directed by Yūshi Suzuki and Shinji Ishihara. “Edens Zero” is based on the manga series of the same name by Hiro Mashima (including “Fairy Tail”), which has been published in Japan since 2018. The story begins with Rebecca, a young and ambitious B-Cube influencer who wants to enrich the world with her video blogs. Together with her furry companion Happy Rebecca travels through space to collect new content for her video channel. Happy and Rebecca’s current goal is that Kingdom of Granbell, which is set up like a huge amusement park.

The orphan boy Shiki grew up in the abandoned theme park in the middle of the animatronics. Rebecca is the first person Shiki gets to know in his life and when he becomes friends with her and Happy, his life changes suddenly. The machines, which he previously called his friends, cast him out of Granbell and Shiki has no choice but to join Rebecca and Happy on their way through space. On that day Shiki’s journey into the unknown begins …
