#Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires Delayed Indefinitely

When Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires was first revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2020, it was set to launch sometime in early 2021. Now the updated entry has been hit with an indefinite delay that pushes it out to an as-yet unknown release date. 

The Omega Force development team shared an apology in a message on Twitter:

Although Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires was initially announced as an early 2021 release, the team is still working hard on delivering the best game possible, so we wanted to let our fans know the current situation and will announce the new launch window in future updates. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued support. In the meantime, check out this first look at a scene from our opening movie. Just a taste of what’s to come as we get closer to finishing the game.

You can see the image from the opening scene in question at the top of this article. Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is currently in the works for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC, and we’ll share the new release date as soon as Koei Tecmo has one.
