#Dwayne Johnson Wants His Botched Wax Figure Changed: “Starting With My Skin Color”

Dwayne Johnson has responded to a widely criticized wax figure of the Black Adam star that was unveiled at a Paris museum.

The Musée Grévin — a museum specializing in wax figures of famous people — recently revealed their attempt at a likeness of the Samoan actor. The statue’s skin tone is notably lighter than Johnson’s, causing some to accuse the museum of “whitewashing” the actor.” Also, the figure’s face looks creepily Botox-smooth, with fans saying they made him look like Mr. Clean (or, perhaps even more insultingly, like his Fast and Furious rival Vin Diesel).

Johnson has now weighed in on the issue, posting on Instagram Sunday night: “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements — starting with my skin color. And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself.” (Edited for excessive emoji use).

The 51-year-old Johnson said he also appreciated comedian James Andre Jefferson’s roasting of the figure.

“I’m low-key offended,” Jefferson said in a viral clip. “How are you just going to take all of the [n-word] out of the Dwayne Johnson? It looks like he works at H&R Block or something … Is this how y’all felt when you lost The Little Mermaid? I understand. Let’s do Google reverse, y’all get the Little Mermaid back, we get The Rock back … You know black-ass Samoan The Rock? That’s how Paris thinks he looks. They turned The Rock into a pebble… It looks like The Rock ain’t never seen the sun a day in his life. It looks like The Rock is part of the royal family.”
