The official Twitter for the upcoming stage play adaptation of the Dropkick on My Devil! anime series has announced that it is postponed to March 20, 2021, due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few weeks.

The highly-anticipated play was originally scheduled to be performed at ES THEATER in Osaka four times on December 26 and 27, 2020, and its tickets were immediately sold out. Ticket refunds will be accepted until December 31, 2020.　

Message from the production committee:

Based on the guidelines issued by the government and municipalities, we had been preparing the "Dropkick on My Devil!" stage play, which was scheduled to be held on December 26 (Sat) and 27 (Sun), 2020, while keeping a close eye on the spread of the new coronavirus infection. However, the spread of the virus in Japan and abroad have been escalating over the past few weeks. After the consultation, the "Dropkick on My Devil!" production committee, related companies, and Osaka Dance and Actors School have come to the conclusion on December 7 that it would be difficult to hold the show in order to ensure the safety of the audience, cast and staff. And it has been decided to postpone the "Dropkick on My Devil!" stage play.

Due to the impact of this postponement, the number of performances will be changed from four times to two. And the two talk shows by the producers and voice actor on the stage are canceled. Ticket sales for the postponed dates will be announced soon (the tickets already purchased will not be valid).
