The confrontation went down about 6:20 p.m. inside the Lownsdale Square park across from Portland’s Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse, cops said.
After shooting photos and video at the park, the woman began arguing with protesters and stabbed one of them in her chest, police said.
Footage posted to TikTok and shared on Twitter shows the victim and other protesters tailing the suspect after the stabbing.
“Call the police!” a woman filming repeatedly says before urging the suspect to drop the knife.
“I told you not to f–k with us,” a man also says as he and the victim, with blood pouring from her chest, confront the woman.
“You stabbed someone, you b—h,” the man says.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, cops said.
Police on Monday night said they were interviewing the suspect. They also said they returned to the scene and located the knife, but somebody ran off with it.
Faced with a hostile crowd, police said they were unable to conduct their investigation and left the area.
Lownsdale Square park was one of two neighboring green spaces cleared of protesters by police last Thursday morning as part of a plan to withdraw federal troops from the Oregon city in phases, according to Mayor Ted Wheeler.
Police had recovered a sledgehammer, body armor and a fuel canister at the two parks.
