#DraftKings acquires VSiN to boost sports betting content

DraftKings has acquired VSiN, The Post has learned.

VSiN (Vegas Sports Information Network) began in 2017 with designs on delivering trusted betting information across different platforms. After four years, DraftKings, the mobile betting company, will use it to reach sports gamblers.

“This is a big jump-start for our content capabilities,” said Matt Kalish, the president of DraftKings, North America.

Kalish, who is one of DraftKings’s founders, said the plan is for VSiN to connect with customers in states where mobile betting is legal. Thus far, 14 states have legalized gambling on sports.

Kalish declined to say how much his company paid for VSiN. He did say the plan is to keep its editorial side independent.

VSiN, started by Brian Musburger, features Brent Musburger and former NFL executive Michael Lombardi among its biggest names. Its content appears in many places, both in video and audio form. VSiN, most notably, has articles that appear daily in The Post.

An official announcement of the deal was expected early Tuesday morning.
