It has been some time since Genshin Impact 2.1 update was released and now it’s time for the release of some highly anticipated characters. One of such characters is Sangonomiya Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. She is a 5-star Hydro catalyst character who had many non-playable appearances in the game.

miHoYo has finally released Kokomi in Genshin Impact today as planned. A character is only as good as its abilities, and to strengthen them, you need to ascend it to the next level. Along with the banner release, her ascension material has also been revealed. So, it’s about time you start collecting them and make the best out of Sangonomiya Kokomi.

Ascension Material and Where to Find Them

Without wasting any more time, the ascension material required to pump Kokomi up to the next level is:

Mora – Mora is the main currency unit that is used to purchase various items and upgrades in Genshin Impact. Players are well aware of the fact, you require them in all ascensions. So, spend them wisely.
Varunada Lazurite – You will require Varunada Lazurite Sliver, Varunada Lazurite Fragment, Varunada Lazurite Chunk, and Varunada Lazurite Gemstone items. You can obtain them from Oceanid, Stormterror, Hydro Hypostasis, Childe Weekly Boss, and Alchemy
Sango Pearl – Sango Pearls only spawn on Watatsumi Island and Kokomi needs 168 Sango Pearls to reach her maximum Ascension. You can find them near the center of the island as well as underground in Suigetsu Pool.
Spectral Elements – Specters are on Watatsumi and Seirai Island in the game. Defeat them and they will drop Spectral Husk, Spectral Heart, or Spectral Nucleous depending on the level of specters.
Dew of Repudiation– You can obtain Dew of Repudiation from Hydro Hypostasis of level 30 and more. You’ll be able to find the Hydro Hypostasis near Suigetsu Pool on the northeastern side of the island.

Requirement

Now that you know what materials you need and where you’ll find them, let’s talk about how much of them you will require. Following is the quantity of each item you will need to collect for her ascension at each level.

For Kokomi Level 20, you will require:

20,000 Mora
Varunada Lazurite Sliver x 1
Sango Pearl x 3
Spectral Husk x 3

For Kokomi Level 40, you will require – Varunada Lazurite Fragment x 3, Dew of Repudiation x 2, Sango Pearl x 10, and Spectral Husk x 15
Kokomi Level 50 requires – 60,000 Mora, Varunada Lazurite Fragment x 6, Dew of Repudiation x 4, Sango Pearl x 20, and Spectral Heart x 12
For Kokomi Level 60, you will require – 80,000 Mora, Varunada Lazurite Chunk x 3, Dew of Repudiation x 8, Sango Pearl x 30, and Spectral Heart x 18.
Kokomi Level 70 requires – 100,000 Mora, Varunada Lazurite Chunk x 6, Dew of Repudiation x 12, Sango Pearl x 45, and Spectral Nucleus x 12.
For Kokomi Level 80, you will require – 120,000 Mora, Varunada Lazurite Gemstone x 6, Dew of Repudiation x 20, Sango Pearl x 60, and Spectral Nucleus x 24
