#Dolly Parton Says She Thinks Beyoncé Covered “Jolene” for Her Upcoming Album

After Dolly Parton voiced her support for Beyoncé becoming the first Black woman to achieve a No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, there were rumblings that the country icon could make an appearance on the superstar’s upcoming album, Act II.

While it remains to be seen if fans will get a duet, Parton indicated a cover of one of her biggest hits could be on the album.

Speaking to Knox News, Parton shared, “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about.”

“I love her!,” she gushed about the 32-time Grammy winner. “She’s a beautiful girl and a great singer.”

Previously, when Beyoncé’s single “Texas Hold ‘Em” made history on the Country chart, Parton shared a statement on social media, supporting the achievement. She wrote, “I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album!”

Various artists applauded Parton for championing Beyoncé, including Morgane Stapleton and Queen Latifah.

Beyoncé announced Act II during the 2024 Super Bowl with the release of its two lead singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” While the latter didn’t reach No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, it still made it to the top ten, debuting at No. 9. Act II is scheduled to arrive on March 29.
