“Doctor Strange 2 Posters Shatter the Marvel Multiverse”
The Marvel multiverse has been shattered in the latest posters for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
It’s a stunning piece of minimalist artwork that invites us to “Enter a New Dimension of Strange,” as The Scarlet Witch sits at the center of the shattering multiverse. Continuing this theme, the latest poster for the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness IMAX release is made up of shards of glass. Which The Master of the Mystic Arts will attempt to put back together.
Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will see the MCU unlock the Multiverse and push its boundaries further than ever before. Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Disney+ series Loki, Doctor Strange will journey into the unknown, and seeking out the help of mystical allies both old and new, as he traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary — an adversary who looks a lot like Doctor Strange himself…
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Will Have an Impact on the Future of the MCU
Delving into the multiverse is a dangerous task, and it has been confirmed by writer Michael Waldron that the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will have an impact on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. Even setting up such projects as Loki Season 2, at least in part.
“The headaches I have are probably intertwined,“ Waldron, who will also write Loki Season 2, explained recently. “I mean, it’s all intertwined and it’s all stands alone. Like a great comic universe, I think that one thing certainly informs the other. You’re going to have a better time watching the next chapter of an MCU story if you’ve seen the stuff before it. But also, hopefully, even if you’ve never if you’ve walked in off the street, you’ll still have a blast. It should be good enough that it stands on its own.”
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron. The Marvel sequel stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff AKA The Scarlet Witch, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, a teenager with the ability to travel through alternate dimensions. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will also see Patrick Stewart reprise the role of X-Men leader Professor Xavier, with his cameo expected to be just one of several big surprises that will reportedly put Spider-Man: No Way Home to shame.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to be released on May 6, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
