DJ Drama has been on a winning streak as of late with the revival of his decorated Gangsta Grillz series, and with it he’s taking credit for bringing mixtapes back.

Mr. Thanksgiving made the bold proclamation on Instagram earlier this week but also thanked Tyler, The Creator for his help in allowing him to collaborate on the Grammy-winning CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.

“I Brought The Mixtape Game Back 2 Life (Thanks Tyler)…If You Can Think It, You Can Achieve It… ALBUM MODE IM REALLY LIKE THAT,” he wrote.

Tyler, Funk Flex, Rapsody and more lent their stamp of approval in the comment section of the photo dump featuring Drama cooking up in the studio.

For his most recent Gangsta Grillz additions, Drama was recruited by J. Stone for Rollin Stone and united with French Montana for the sixth installment of his Coke Boys series last week.

The “classic version,” as French described on Twitter, comes with 20 tracks and features Benny The Butcher, A$AP Rocky, Kodak Black, EST Gee, Vory, Jeremih, the late Chinx and more.

Drama also joined forces with Snoop Dogg, Jeezy, Symba and many others throughout 2022 for new projects and he’s not slowing down this year.

“Whatta Year Its Been… Im Humbled By The Love And Energy That 2022 Brought To My Life… It Only Inspired Me To Go Even Harder (Pause) … Thank You All For Every Flower   Given, Every Show Of Support & Every Accolade Given… 2023… Watch What Comes Next,” he tweeted while summing up his banner year in December.

As far as what he’s got coming up, a Gangsta Grillz tape with Pusha T has been teased and Drama also announced a Juelz Santana Gangsta Grillz called We In Motion.

The Atlanta-based DJ, producer and label head is also putting the finishing touches on his own album — which would mark his first solo effort since 2016.

The Generation Now boss is readying a star-studded guest list that appears to include Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Gucci Mane, Offset, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow, Freddie Gibbs and Doe Boy.
