Detectives These Days Are Crazy! Reveals New Trailer Previewing Ending Theme & July 1 Debut
A new promotional trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Detectives These Days Are Crazy! TV anime series, which previews the main ending theme and confirms its premiere in Japan on July 1, 2025.
The main ending theme song highlighted in the trailer is “GORI☆GORI Feez e-Girl!!” performed by Kana Hanazawa and Tomokazu Sugita as their respective characters, Mashiro and “Joyful Old Guys.”
The trailer also revealed additional staff members working on the series, some of whom include Kusanagi’s Soshi Kuwashima (Whisper Me a Love Song) as art director, Makoto Eto as prop designer, Asahi Production’s Naho Hasegawa as compositing director of photography.
Rion Kujo (The Legendary Hero Is Dead!, Wanna be the Strongest in the World!) is directing the anime, with Rintaro Ikeda (Insomniacs After School) as series screenwriter, Isoroku Koga (Ryman’s Club co-costume designer) as character designer and chief animation director, and Tomoki Kikuya (Bocchi the Rock!) as music composer. LIDENFILMS is handling the animation production.

The original comedy mystery manga series by Masakuni Igarashi was first serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh magazine on April 27, 2016 and has released 15 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.
One Peace Books licensed the Detectives These Days Are Crazy! manga for release in English, describing the main synopsis as:
Behold, a great detective who thrills the world solving impossible cases in no time! His name? Keiichiro Nagumo. … But all of that was over a decade ago. Now he’s just your typical middle-aged dude. Nagumo is behind the times to the point that he doesn’t even know what a smartphone is.
