#Rick Ross Jabs At DJ Envy Over Alleged Real Estate Fraud Case

DJ Envy has for months now been the butt of jokes from rival rappers and DJs, stemming from allegations he participated in a hefty real estate Ponzi scheme alongside his former business partner, Cesar Pina – but have things only begun to escalate?

On Friday (October 20), a video surfaced online, in which Rick Ross can be seen (seemingly) taking a jab at the controversial radio jockey with a simple rhyme. “Fifteen names on one piece of land. Fourteen n-ggas going to take the stand,” he says in the Instagram clip.

That sentiment that appeared to resonate with fans, who chimed in with a series of colorful comments in agreement with the “Hustlin’” MC.

“Ross got the W in their beef lol,” wrote one fan referencing the duo’s ongoing feud which stemmed over hosting competing car shows. “Envy getting life,” added another.

“Rozay got me [laughing face emoji] , DJ ENVIOUS !!@djenvy Good luck wit dat case my boy !,” reads another comment.

The slight comes shortly after the arrest of Cesar Humberto Pina, a New Jersey property investor, who was apprehended on Wednesday (October 18), on charges associated with a wire-fraud scheme. Following his appearance in a Newark federal court, the 45-year-old was released on a $1 million secured bond with electronic monitoring. Envy was not charged in the case.

Pina is alleged to have leveraged his social media influence to deceive his followers, offering promises of substantial investment returns while purportedly defrauding individuals of millions of dollars in the process.

Case documents and legal statements have revealed that Pina and the radio host are being investigated for seminars they’ve held across the country to entice and subsequently defraud investors.

Meanwhile, seemingly against his own lawyer’s wishes, Envy has denied any and all involvement in Pina’s bad business practices.

Earlier this month, Envy addressed the fraud allegations that have spawned several lawsuits against him and Pina, as well as Pina’s arrest. He took to the mic on The Breakfast Club in early October to clear the air regarding the accusations.

“Let me explain some things,” he began. “So Cesar and myself did seminars. Now, the reason I did these seminars is because I wanted to uplift my community. I wanted to teach my community about real estate. Things that I didn’t know when I was buying my first home.

“So I did these seminars and brought industry professionals to all these seminars, whether it was real estate agents from different markets, contractors, money lenders. I even brought Auction.com to actually show people how to purchase houses online.”

He continued: “Now Cesar, if he took money, I wasn’t privy to it nor did I even know. But I do understand how people feel if they did give him money because I gave him a lot of money that I didn’t see a dollar of return.

“For anybody to say I was involved, that’s totally not true. I would never. I’ve been on radio close to 30 years and never in my 30 years’ time did I do nothing but try to uplift people… And I would never take a dollar from somebody.”
