“David Spade ‘Joe Dirt’ weighs in on Kid’s Mullet Championship finalists”

“Life’s a garden. Dig it. You make it work for you,” as the great Joe Dirt said.

As mullet mania slowly takes the nation by storm, there’s one man that knows a good mullet: David Spade, the actor who played Joe Dirt in the 2001 cult classic of the same name.

Spade gave his stamp of approval on the contestant’s stylish mullets with voting for this year’s 2022 USA Mullet Championships coming to a close on Friday.

“They all look like winners to me” Spade replied to a fan on Twitter.

Spade took it a step further on his TikTok account, rating each of the four contestants that were mentioned in the tweet.

“Rustin, this cute little goat roper.” Spade said while reviewing Rustin Alphin’s Mullet competition photo. “Pretty studly.”

“Landry, Flag carved in. I don’t know if that’s legal,” Spade said about contestant Landry Terpin. “This little mugshot’s good.”

“Billy do,” Spade went on in excitement as he reviewed contestant Billy Dale Ramsey. “He means biz, dude. He’s hittin’ diggers.”

“Hawaii shirt. Don’t know if I’d go with that.” Spade said as he reviewed contestant Epic Orta.

This year’s winner is just too hard to choose. Even Joe Dirt knows it.

With voting for the Kids’ Mullet Division now closed, one of the 25 finalists will earn $2,500, and bragging rights of having one of the most glorious mullets.

The winner of this year’s championship will be announced on Sunday, August 21, 2022 on NBC’s “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.”

The Mullet Championships began in 2020 with an adult competition but have since added separate categories for kids, teens and an “open division” for men and women ages 19 and up.

For those interested in participating in next year’s lushes hair competition, the kid’s division has a $10 entry fee. The money will support the Michigan Wig Foundation for kids.

A classy act for one of the most classy hairstyles ever to grace the earth.
