#Dating app Bumble expects higher demand amid COVID-19

The owner of the dating app Bumble said Wednesday it expects a higher demand from people who avoided dating in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and an increase in revenue in the fourth quarter, according to a report.

The Texas-based Bumble Inc. predicts the quarter revenue to be in the range of $163 million and $165 million, according to Reuters.

The company said it will focus on expanding its friendship product Bumble BFF since friendships and platonic relationships could create more opportunities moving forward, Reuters reported.

Bumble reported it has an average of 5.5 monthly active users and 2.2 million downloads in the US alone.
