#Dan Da Dan Delivers 1st Trailer, Key Visual

The upcoming Dan Da Dan anime adaptation has received its first non-teaser trailer, plus a key visual that depicts its two lead characters fleeing at full speed from the entity called Turbo Granny.

Additional staff credits were also revealed, including Satoshi Hashimoto (Spy x Family Season 1) as color designer, Junichi Higashi (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2) as art director and Kazuto Izumita (Great Pretender) as compositing director.

Dan Da Dan will premiere this October. Netflix and Crunchyroll have both picked up the show, which adapts Yukinobu Tatsu’s sci-fi occult manga.

The manga began serialization on Shonen Jump+ in 2021 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of December 2023. Viz Media describes the plot as:

Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames “Okarun” because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong—Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love…and oddly horny aliens and spirits?
