“#Cuomo accuser says she saw dartboard with de Blasio’s face inside his house”
A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has accused him of sexual harassment, recalled seeing a dartboard bearing Mayor de Blasio’s face at the Executive Mansion in an interview published Thursday.
The former aide, Lindsey Boylan, told The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow that she saw the childish display while she was attending a pool party at the governor’s mansion.
“I couldn’t believe how brazen that was,” Boylan, 36, told the magazine.
A Cuomo spokesperson declined to comment to the magazine on the dartboard’s existence.
Boylan brought up the dartboard in an interview where she described the belligerent workplace culture under Cuomo.
Cuomo and de Blasio have long been political enemies — despite their shared party affiliation — and frequently exchange barbs in the media.
Just this week, the two clashed over the reopening of indoor fitness classes in the Big Apple, with the governor overruling the mayor in the matter.
Cuomo on Wednesday announced the classes could restart next week, a day after de Blasio vowed to keep them closed amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“I want to ask a question — is this being done because of what the data and science is telling us or is this being done for political reasons?” de Blasio railed during a Thursday City Hall press briefing.
“Cause it sure as hell looks like a lot of these decisions are being made by the governor because of his political needs,” the mayor said.
