#Crunchyroll Reveals Anime Awards Musical Performers, Official Theme Song & More Presenters
Crunchyroll has revealed a new slate of musical performers and celebrity presenters for its upcoming 2024 Anime Awards, which include the appearances of YOASOBI and Shing02. The Anime Awards will take place on March 2, 2024 in Japan, with a live ceremony hosted by Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira.
Japanese pop duo YOASOBI and rapper Shing02 are just a few artists that will be performing hit tracks from some fan favorite anime series. YOASOBI will be performing ahead of their set at Coachella.
In addition, music composers Hiroyuki SAWANO and KOHTA YAMAMOTO will debut and perform an official theme song for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards for the first time, both of whom created the track. The theme show opening theme will be available to stream on Crunchyroll after the conclusion of the Anime Awards.
The 2024 Anime Awards will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of Samurai Champloo with a special performance of the anime’s opening theme “battlecry” from Shing02, OMA, and SPIN MASTER A-1, exclusively for livestream viewers.
More commemorations of important anime anniversaries will be performed throughout the awards show, performed by a live orchestra in a symphony format.
Some of the new celebrity presenters added to the ceremony include wrestling legend Mercedes Varnado, American football star DeMarcus Lawrence, and actress, singer, and model Chiaki Kuriyama.

- • Nava Rose — Fashion Creator
- • Phil Lord and Chris Miller — Academy Award winning producers (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse)
- • Porter Robinson — GRAMMY Nominated Musician
- • Rashmika Mandanna – Indian Film Actor
- • Sou Takei — Japanese TV Personality, Comedian, Actor, and Former Japanese Decathlon Champion
- • Vinnie Hacker — Model, Pro-Gamer, Actor, and Digital Creator
