Crunchyroll announces its theatrical release of Fruit Basket -prelude- in select movie theaters in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom this summer. 

Fruits Basket -prelude- tickets will go on sale starting Friday, June 3 in Canada and the US. The movie is set to premiere June 25, 28, and 29, available with subtitles or dubbed in English. In the UK, tickets will go on sale starting June 24, while the movie debuts on July 20, available only in the English dub.

Fruit Basket -prelude- is a standalone prequel film to the anime series Fruit Basket, based on the homonymous manga written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya. The prequel file is directed by Yoshihide Ibata and animated by TMS Entertainment and 8PAN.
