Minato Soft is a visual novel game brand under the company Horkeye, and is known for games like Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!/em> and Waga Himegimi ni Eikan o. Some Minato Soft development staff were transferred to the newly established Novus.

As an all-ages brand, Novus’ objective is to provide the world with a new value of visual novel game experiences, similar to the “webtoons” becoming a worldwide standard in manga. The new studio will be based in Yokohama, where Minato Soft is based. Joint development with content creators and anime studios is also planned.

Additionally, CREST and Horkeye announced a business partnership for cooperative intellectual property development with Takahiro, the creator of manga Akame ga Kill! and Chained Soldier, as well as the anime Yuki Yuna is a Hero.
