Takara Tomy Arts (T-ARTS Company) announced on July 5 that the release of its smartphone game app Idol Land Pripara is again postponed to the spring of 2022. The app was originally planned to launch in the spring of 2021 and had been postponed to the summer of 2021. So the launch has been delayed for a full year at the moment.

The company’s press release writes, “We have decided to postpone the start of service for the ‘Idol Land Pripara smartphone app, which was scheduled for the summer of 2021, to the spring of 2022 in order to improve the game content and quality of the app. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this further postponement to those who have been looking forward to this title. The entire staff will work diligently to deliver the game to you as soon as possible, and we thank you for your understanding.”

Meanwhile, the Idol Land Pripara web anime series, which had also been postponed from the spring of 2021 to the summer of 2021, will hold an advance online screening of its Episode 1 and 0 on PIA LIVE STREAM. Episode 1 will be available in August 2021, then Episode 0, a prequel to Episode 1, will follow in September.

Both episodes come with an audio commentary by voice cast members as bonus footage – Riho Iida (Amari Katasumi) and Himika Akaneya (Laala Manaka) for Episode 1, Akaneya and Arisa Date (Yui Yumekawa) for Episode 0. Each episode will cost 1,800 yen (16.23 USD) to watch. Ticket sales for Episode 1 and Episode 0 began on July 5, just seven years after the first episode of the TV anime Pripara was aired in Japan seven years ago in 2014.
