Nearly four years after the release of his debut LP, FreeJAH, Clyde Guevarra has shared its follow-up. 486 Columbia Street is out now on Republic Records, hosted by DJ Drama as part of his Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.

Named for the address of the housing project where Guevara grew up in Red Hook, Brooklyn — and where his brother was shot and killed just a month after finishing a five-year prison sentence — the new tape is a long time in the making. It took a move to Los Angeles and three years working closely with Grammy-winning songwriter Harold Lily, whose previous collaborators include Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, and Alicia Keys), for the Brooklyn rapper to write through his grief and record nine of his strongest tracks to date. The results speak for themselves.
