Clevatess Unveils 3rd New Key Visual with Main Characters

A third new key visual has been unveiled for the upcoming Clevatess TV anime series, which features many of the show’s main characters. The series is set to broadcast in Japan on July 2, debuting with a 1-hour special premiere episode.

Kiyotaka Taguchi (SSSS.DYNAZENON Ep 5 kaiju designer, main director of Ultraman X and Ultraman Orb) is directing the anime series, with Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern) as series screenwriter, Soichiro Sako (Buddy Daddies) as character designer, and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) as music composer. Lay-duce is in charge of the animation production.

Other staff working on the series include Takuro Tsukada as animation director, Atsushi Morikawa (RE-MAIN) as art director, Reiko Iwasawa (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) as color designer, Shigeki Asakawa (Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS) as director of photography, Naoki Tsuji (Tiger Mask) as CG director, and Kiyotaka Taguchi as sound director.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes: 

  • • Haruka Shiraishi as Alicia
  • • Mutsumi Tamura as Clen
  • • Yuichi Nakamura as Clevatess
  • • Saya Aizawa as Luna

The anime adapts the dark fantasy manga series by King of Thorn creator Yuji Iwahara began serialization on LINE Manga on August 12, 2020. It also began publication on Media Factory’s Comic Alive+ website, starting April 24, 2024. Seven digital volumes have been released by Line Digital Frontier as of April 2024.

Crunchyroll will stream Clevatess worldwide, outside of Southeast Asia, and describes the main synopsis as: 

One of the Lords of Dark Beasts, Clevatess’s reign shatters when he revives a hero he personally slayed and adopts an orphaned humanoid baby—the last hope to save a dying world. Now bound together, what fate awaits this unlikely trio?
