“City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust Anime Film Gets Fall 2023 Release”

 

The official site and social media channels for the City Hunter animated film franchise have been updated with substantial details following last December’s reveal of a feature film follow-up to 2019’s Shinjuku Private Eyes. The new film will be titled City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust with The Final Chapter Begins as the subtitle. The film will focus on Ryo Saeba’s past and the death of his partner Hideyuki Makimura.

To celebrate the update, a new teaser trailer has been released along with newly drawn artwork of Kaori Makimura brandishing a mallet celebrating the news of the film’s title and release date. In addition, more staff information has been confirmed, with Shinjuku Private Eyes director Kenji Kodama returning to helm the film as well as returning scriptwriter Yasuyuki Muto.

Finally, a new movie ticket bonus has been revealed for those who purchase tickets starting on Thursday February 23 in Japan in a newly illustrated clearfile featured above alongside the previously announced ticket card.
