Los Angeles, CA – Chris Brown has faced numerous lawsuits and arrests throughout the course of his career — from the gruesome 2009 assault on Rihanna to his 2019 sexual allegations in Paris.

In June, the veteran R&B singer was under investigation for battery on a woman who told police he hit her so hard her weave fell off. But according to TMZ, Brown won’t be prosecuted in the case after the L.A. City County’s Office determined there was insufficient evidence to move forward.

Law enforcement sources say police responded to Chris Brown’s San Fernando Valley home over the summer after the woman claimed he slapped her. Officers took a battery report and named Brown as the suspect, but the alleged victim had no visible injuries aside from the allegedly dislodged weave. .

Brown, who was never arrested, responded via Instagram and denied the entire incident. “Y’all so damn [cap],” he wrote in his Instagram Stories. He added several laughing emojis to emphasize how funny he found the situation.

The 32-year-old still has another lawsuit to contend with, though. Earlier this week, both he and Drake were sued for copyright infringement after singer Mr. Cooper and producer Drum’n Skillz accused them of stealing their song “I Love Your Dress” for “No Guidance.”
