One-eyed Flashback Passes 10.4 Billion Yen, Releases Special Illustration and Video

The Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback anime film has made more than 10.4 billion yen (~US$72.5 million), making it the 43rd highest-grossing movie in Japan.
It is also currently the third highest-grossing Detective Conan film, after Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram (the 14th top-grossing movie in Japan with 15.8 million yen) and Detective Conan: The Black Submarine (19th place with 13.88 billion yen).

A commemorative illustration from Detective Conan creator Gosho Aoyama and a special video featuring various footage set to King Gnu’s “TWILIGHT!!!” were released to mark the occasion.
Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback premiered in Japan on April 18 JST and had the best opening weekend in the franchise with a score of 3.43 billion yen (~US$23.9 million). The premise of the 28th Detective Conan movie involves the Mouri Detective Agency receiving a call from “Wani,” a former colleague of Kogoro’s, who brings up the presence of Kogoro’s name in a case file related to an avalanche that Kansuke was caught in.
