Charlie’s Angels has been a classic action film series in the entertainment industry. The first film aired in 2000 and starred actresses Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu. The second film released in 2003, and also featured the same three actresses in the lead roles. The original film is called Charlie’s Angels and the second is called Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
Another installment released in November 2019 after a lengthy 16-year gap, and it is now available on Hulu along with the other two films. The newest rendition featured new actresses in Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. It also has the same name as the first film, Charlie’s Angels.
The latest movie features other well-known names in the acting industry as well, including Elizabeth Banks, Patrick Stewart, Noah Centineo, Nat Faxon, and Djimon Hounsou.

Charlie’s Angels has been a staple in American cinema for quite some time. The film series and franchise have centered around three investigators, better known as the Angels, solving crimes for their agency and saving the world from evil.
The first make of the concept was a mystery drama that aired from 1976-1981. Afterward, this film series came to be, and a 2011 ABC series was also made, but it quickly got canceled after only eight episodes.
The newest Charlie’s Angels film didn’t gain as much popularity during its opening weekend as hoped. It did release a hit song in its soundtrack called “Don’t Call Me Angel,” which features Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Lana Del Rey doing a collaboration. The song’s music video has nearly 160 million views on YouTube as of this writing and the single hit number three on Billboard 100 at one point.
