Snoop Dogg and Shanté Broadus, Run-DMC’s Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons and Justine Simmons, Papoose and Remy Ma and Wyclef and Marie Claudinette Jean are among the handful of successful Hip Hop couples who’ve been together for over 20 years — anomalies in the industry.

But Killer Mike and his wife Shana Render’s marriage is inching toward the two-decade mark, too. So as Render celebrated another revolution around the sun, the Run The Jewels MC decided to pen a special tribute for his wife on her birthday.

On Monday (May 30), the Love & Respect host shared several photos of Render with the caption, “Happy Born Day 2 my wife @shaybigga. U are the Pimp C to My Bun B. U are the 8 Ball To My MJG. U are smoking Hot Like an IG thot with a brilliant brain that collects that Knot.”

While Killer Mike didn’t reveal what type of gifts he got Mrs. Render, Hip Hop artists typically go big when it comes to celebrating their significant others. In January, Gucci Mane gifted his wife Keyshia Ka’oir $1 million in cash for her 37th birthday as well as plenty of Gucci swag. She gushed about the gesture on Instagram at the time, writing, “ONE OF MY BEST BIRTHDAYS EVER. Thank u hubby @laflare1017.”

Last December, Cardi B presented husband Offset with a $2 million check during a sneaker-themed party at Sneakertopia in Los Angeles for his 30th birthday. As she said when she presented the check, “I want to say happy muthafucking birthday to my sexy, big-dick husband Offset. That’s my muthafuckin’ baby daddy y’all.

“Babe, I feel like you have everything — you literally have every muthafuckin’ car, you said you tired of jewelry. So I was like, What do I get somebody that gave me a muthafuckin’ house? So I’m like, What do you like? Oh, that’s right — some shmoney gang! So babe, this is my birthday [gift] to you.”

The generous gift arrived just months after Offset bought Cardi B a mansion in the Dominican Republic for her 29th birthday.

“I done bought you everything, so this year I wanted to get you something for having my beautiful son,” he said during her party. “So I bought you a house in the DR. Yessir, that’s how we coming, pool on the roof. God is good.”
