Windows 10 comes with the Pictures folder which is familiar to every user. In most cases, its path is something like C:UsersSomeUserPictures. You can open it quickly by typing %userprofile%Pictures in File Explorer’s address bar.

Once you open This PCPictures folder, you will see your Saved Pictures folder:

The Saved Pictures folder is a subfolder inside the Pictures folder in the user profile. It is created by the built-in Photos. The Saved Pictures folder is also the default location for other apps to save pictures. The mentioned Photos app stores there images that you imported from an SD card or camera you have connected to the PC.

To Change the Saved Pictures Folder Location in Windows 10,

  1. Open This PC in File Explorer, and navigate in the Pictures folder.
