#Chained Soldier Releases New PV Trailer Highlighting the Demon Defense Forces’ 6th Squad

A new PV trailer for the currently airing Chained Soldier TV anime series has been released, highlighting the three members of the Demon Defense Forces’ 6th Squad. The anime first premiered on January 4, 2024. 

The PV trailer highlights the voice actresses and personalities of 6th Squad members Tenka Izumo, Yachiho Azuma, and Sahara Wakasa, as well as the anime’s main ending theme “Chain”, performed by Maaya Uchida. 

Gorou Kuji (Bungo to Alchemist assistant director) is serving as the anime’s director, with Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love director) as chief director, Hiroyuki Yoshii (Just Because!) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series screenwriter, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer) as music composer. Seven Arcs is in charge of the animation production for the series. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the dark fantasy action manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine on January 5, 2019. Fourteen tankoubon volumes have been released as of October 2023, with a 15th volume due out on February 2, 2024. Yen Press releases the manga in English.

HIDIVE is streaming Chained Soldier uncensored outside of Japan in select territories and describes the story as: 

Two supernatural forces appeared simultaneously on Earth: entrances to another dimension known as Mato, and Peaches, resources that give unique abilities to women. From the Mato come Yomotsu Shuuki, dangerous monsters that leave destruction in their wake. The government’s Anti-demon Corps stands against these creatures, employing women empowered by Peaches to face the monstrous threat. 

Yuuki Wakura watches these forces clash from a distance, but when he unexpectedly runs afoul of a Yomotsu Shuuki, he’s rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the chief of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-demon Corp — and she sees something in him that could turn the tide of the monster incursion. Yuki holds the unique power to make Peaches more effective, but he’ll have to become Kyoka’s willing slave to join the fight against the Yomotsu Shuuki and save the world.
