Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album is on the way. After numerous teasers earlier this year, Pop Smoke’s manager, Rico Beats, revealed on Tuesday (June 15) that the late Brooklyn rapper’s upcoming album is 95 percent finished.

“Pop Album 95% loading the f$&k up,” he captioned a Photoshopped picture of ’90s Chicago Bulls legends with himself as Scottie Pippen, Pop Smoke as Michael Jordan and Victor Victor CEO Steven Victor as coach Phil Jackson.

Victor chimed in with a comment saying an announcement — most likely regarding the album — would be coming in the next “24 to 30” hours.

Since its July 2020 release, Pop’s debut Shoot For the Stars Aim For the Moon has remained on the Billboard 200 for 49 straight weeks and sits at No. 12 on this week’s chart. Pop Smoke posthumously took home five Billboard Music Awards for the album earlier this year.

Even after his death, Pop Smoke’s estate has still been supplying fans with plenty of music. A pair of Pop features made appearances on both the Migos and Polo G’s recent albums. Quavo even said he and Pop were working on a joint album and have plenty of heat still left in the stash.

Pop Smoke — born Bashar Jackson — was killed in a home invasion in February 2020 at a Hollywood Hills Airbnb. He was shot multiple times in the torso after four armed gunmen busted through the second-floor balcony while he was in the shower. During a preliminary court hearing, it was revealed that a 15-year-old ultimately pulled the trigger and robbed his Rolex watch.
