#Cardinals hand Seahawks first loss with wild overtime win

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks could not join the Steelers at 6-0, squandering a 10-point fourth-quarter lead and dropping their first of the season, 37-34, in overtime to emerging superstar Kyler Murray and the Cardinals on Sunday night in Arizona.

Zane Gonzalez redeemed himself after missing a field goal try earlier in the extra session, drilling a 49-yarder with 20 seconds left in OT as the Cardinals improved to 5-2, a half-game behind the Seahawks in the loaded NFC West.

Gonzalez’s game-winner was set up by rookie linebacker Isaiah Simmons’ interception of Wilson at midfield with 1:06 to go.

Wilson finished with 388 passing yards and 84 on the ground, with three TD throws to Tyler Lockett, whose 15 receptions for 200 yards included a toe-tap grab in the back of the end zone for a 34-24 lead with 6:50 remaining.

Murray (360 passing yards, 67 rushing) moved Arizona down the field for an 8-yard TD pass to Christian Kirk with 2:28 to go and then into position for a game-tying 44-yard field goal by Gonzalez at the end of regulation.

The Cards sacked Wilson twice in overtime, forcing a punt, but Gonzalez pulled a 41-yard FG attempt wide left with 2:47 remaining.

Murray registered at least one aerial TD (three) and one rushing score for the sixth time in seven games this season. Larry Fitzgerald added eight receptions for the Cards, joining Jerry Rice (1,549) as the only players in NFL history with more than 1,400 (1,407).
