#Can Giants stop Russell Wilson?

Let’s start with the Giants and Seahawks for FOX Bet’s $100,000 Super Six Sunday contest.

Giants at Seahawks (-10)

Say what you will about the maturation and growth of Daniel Jones, but if he is healthy, this game has a totally different feel. (Or maybe it says more about the lack of confidence in Colt McCoy?)

Point being, the Giants won’t be able to exploit the Seahawks’ biggest weakness, which is their pass defense. Particularly not with McCoy at quarterback. But it gets worse for the Giants. That vulnerable Seahawks pass defense has actually firmed up the past few weeks.

In Seattle’s first eight games, the defense gave up 362.1 passing yards and 32.6 points per game. In three games since, it has yielded just 240 passing yards and 20.3 points a week. The addition of Carlos Dunlap and return to health of Jamal Adams certainly have helped.

The thing we like best about the Giants is how surprisingly stiff their defense has been. Yet, their opponents have included Washington twice (Alex Smith, Kyle Allen), the Eagles and woebegone QB Carson Wentz twice, the Joe Burrow-less Bengals and an early meeting with the Mitchell Trubisky Bears.

The Giants did hold their own against Big Roethlisberger and the Steelers, Jared Goff’s Rams and Tom Brady’s Buccaneers. But compared to the parade of underclassmen that populate the rest of their schedule, it takes some gleam off that defense. And now they face a Seattle quartet of Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and a (mostly) healthy Chris Carson.

Expect a fairly easy Seahawks win, perhaps one that isn’t even as close as the score.

The pick: Seahawks by 10-14

Here are the rest of the games that you have to pick the winning margin in to have a chance at the $100,000:

  • Lions at Bears (-3)
  • Saints (-2.5) at Falcons
  • Broncos at Chiefs (-13.5)
  • Rams (-3) at Cardinals
  • Washington at Steelers (-8)
