Camille Kostek fell in love with broadcasting at a young age, and with that, she found a role model in Erin Andrews.

As one of the new co-hosts of the TBS revamp of “Wipeout,” the 28-year-old model is looking to channel aspects of the Fox Sports sideline reporter in her new role.

“I am in love with Erin Andrews and she knows it too, so it’s no surprise to her,” Kostek told The Post. “I grew up watching her, whether it’d be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or watching her on the sidelines for football and the interviews, and the one-on-one she does with a lot of the guys, and I just admired her being able to take on a role that is so male-dominant.

“I’ve also seen the criticism that she’s taken on and the way that she is so graceful and so poised, and so professional, and how she just holds her own, has always been very admirable to me from afar.”

Kostek, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star, will join hosts John Cena and Nicole Byer in the “Wipeout” revival as a “host in the field,” according to Deadline. Kostek will “cover the contestants’ progress throughout each round” of outrageous obstacles. Kostek said she spoke about the opportunity to Andrews, whom she now calls a friend.

“She’s actually one of the people that I had told about ‘Wipeout’ before it came about because she knew that this was something that I wanted to do,” Kostek said. “I wanted to be able to put my name to a show, and kind of grow with it.”

Although Kostek has made numerous on-screen appearances over the years, including roles in Amy Schumer’s “I Feel Pretty” and the upcoming Ryan Reynolds comedy, “Free Guy,” she believes “Wipeout” is her perfect on-air match.

“Over the years I’ve been auditioning for a lot of different shows, whether it was from sports to entertainment, pop culture, and game shows, and so, I found that there was a common denominator in all of these shows that I was auditioning for, and I wanted it to be something that would bring joy and happiness to people at home, something that everyone can watch and super drama-free,” Kostek said.

“I like to lift people up, I like to stay out of the chaos of stuff of reality — I’ll sit back at home and watch it,” she continued with a laugh, “but I don’t want to be part of it.”

While the COVID-19 pandemic put much of the world on pause, Kostek said the opportunity for “Wipeout” came about during quarantine, which she and Rob Gronkowski, 31, frequently documented on social media. Amid uncertain times, Kostek is proud to be a source of positivity for her 789,000 Instagram followers.

“It’s okay to be happy right now, in fact, we need to be happy more than ever,” she said. “There’s so much in the news and in the media, and everyone is kind of going through something, so I felt that it was almost part of my job to kind of come on and be like, ‘We can dance, we can celebrate, we can smile.’”
