Good news for fans, as we bring to you some exciting new developments about Call of Duty’s upcoming sequel. The new instalment called Vanguard will release this year. No official details, including the game’s name, were revealed till now. But today we have some amazing official news of the fans of the franchise. As we stated in our last article, it was supposed to be revealed on 19th August and it has!

Reveal and Trailer

Call of Duty: Vanguard is all set to launch on 5th November 2021. It will be coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. Before we move on with the details, check out the full reveal trailer below!

Last week PlayStation Store showcased that the reveal event for Call of Duty Vanguard was scheduled for 19th August in Call of Duty Warzone Event. So accordingly, the reveal event was held yesterday, and it had everything fans hoped for.

As speculated, Vanguard is set during World War II and will feature a “historically inspired” single-player campaign. It will also feature a multiplayer mode and an integration with Call of Duty: Zombies and Warzone. Vanguard is its single-player campaign, which focuses on the origin of the special forces and will be told from multiple points of view.

There will also be a multiplayer with 20 maps at launch and game modes including “Champion Hill” where you can battle solo or in squads of two or three. Zombies mode of the game is developed by Black Ops studio Treyarch which will connect with the previous undead story from Black Ops Cold War.

In-Game Details

The plot of Call of Duty: Vanguard goes like this. Hitler is dead, the Nazis have lost, but the Allies learn of a troubling plan to somehow facilitate Hitler’s successor. This plan is called Project Phoenix. Its main villain Heinrich Freisinger, who is inspired by the real Gestapo operative Heinrich Müller.

To deal with this whole mission, the Allies deploy a squad of four specialists from four countries. These are Arthur Kingsley from Great Britain, Polina Petrova from Soviet Union, Wade Jackson from USA, and Lucas Riggs from Australia. You might recognise Polina Petrova as the woman that’s been sniping Warzone winners out of helicopters.

The gameplay and the storyline from the trailer look very intriguing and let us hope that Call of Duty Vanguard stays true to its hype. There are only a few months left now before its release, so its time to gear up and prepare for Vanguard’s arrival.
